IL-26 is a member of the IL-10 family, which has diverse antimicrobial functions and has been implicated in the pathology of lymphatic filariasis, atopic dermatitis, and Crohn’s disease, as well as in mediating Th17-associated diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis [37,38,39,40,41].
