Predictive markers of patients at risk of unfavorable outcomes (death, bradycardia, or cerebral ischemia) included elevated serum SEEP1 concentrations at 1 h after admission to the intensive care unit (post-surgery) and circulating SELENBP1 during the intervention (2 min after reperfusion or 15 min after weaning from the CPB). This evidence concerns the gene SELENBP1 and brain ischemia.
