Overexpression of FOXO4 was found to have reduced migration and in vivo metastasis of the colorectal cancer cells by regulating the colorectal cancer tumour suppressor gene adenomatous polyposis coli 2 (APC2) in the APC2/β-catenin axis; therefore, this inhibitory effect could be reversed by APC2 knockdown [33].
