A recent study utilizing the qPLEX-RIME technique [72] has revealed that TRIB1 interacts with the β-catenin co-factor FERMT2 (FERM Domain Containing Kindlin 2) and ER co-factor ZBTB7A (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 7A) in breast cancer cells, giving further insights into the TRIB1 interactome and its involvement in transcriptional regulation through β-catenin and ER [46]. The gene discussed is FERMT2; the disease is breast cancer.
