Despite being classified as a pseudogene, S100A7L2 (S100 Calcium Binding Protein A7 Like 2) (average methylation 74%, delta17%, p = 0.002) has been found to play a significant role in inducing transdifferentiation from lung adenocarcinoma to squamous carcinoma.
