The radioresistant cell line CNE-2R showed cancer stem cell-like characteristics (Oct4, Sox2, Nanog, Bmi1, and CD133), especially in the sorted cells that were CNE2R-CD133-positive, and, in contrast to the CNE-2R-CD133-negative cells, revealed higher proliferation activity, tumorigenesis capacity, and telomerase activity [61].
