These (CAR)-T cell-based clinical trials target antigens such as mesothelin (MSLN), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), disialoganglioside (GD2), HER2, mucin 1 (MUC1), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), EpCAM, etc., for the treatment of solid tumors such as colorectal carcinoma (CRC), ovarian cancer, retinoblastoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, and prostate cancer (Table 2) [30]. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and prostate carcinoma.
