Our previous study and several other reports have shown that MerTK is overexpressed in different types of cancer including non-small cell lung cancer [31,32,33,34], breast cancer [35,36], blood cancer [37,38], head and neck cancer [26,39], melanoma [28], leukemia [40], and glioblastoma [41]. The gene discussed is MERTK; the disease is glioblastoma.
