In mouse models of MASLD induced by WD (Figure 5E) or WD plus CCl4 (Figure 5F) we previously conducted [25], GSTA1 levels were reduced compared to normal control mice, whereas they were increased by bicyclol treatment, which was accompanied by decreased lipid accumulation marker protein PLIN2 (Figure 5E,F), providing further evidence that GSTA1 mediates the effect of bicyclol on liver steatosis. This evidence concerns the gene GSTA1 and fatty liver disease.
