The serum adiponectin level in patients without liver cirrhosis was 3.1 (range: 0.4–27.4) μg/mL, whereas those with cirrhosis recorded a level of 19.2 (range: 2.7–40) μg/mL, resulting in significantly higher serum adiponectin levels compared to COVID-19 patients without liver cirrhosis (p = 0.001). Here, ADIPOQ is linked to cirrhosis of liver.
