The purpose of this study is to look at the anti-leukemic effects of metformin (approved for diabetes) alone or in combination with first-line chemotherapy or other drugs like venetoclax (BCL2 inhibitor, approved for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), AML) and S63845 (MCL1 inhibitor, experimental) on the primitive and undifferentiated CD34+ AML cell line to improve AML treatment efficacy. This evidence concerns the gene MCL1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
