ALB and Hepatic fibrosis: Biochemical parameters such as direct bilirubin ≥ 0.16 mg/dL (OR = 7.8; 95% CI: 3.8–16.8; p < 0.001), indirect bilirubin ≥ 0.78 mg/dL (OR = 4.0; 95% CI: 1.9–8.5; p < 0.001), ALT ≥ 54.5 IU/L (OR = 13.8; 95% CI: 6.5–30.7; p < 0.001), GGT ≥ 70.5 IU/L (OR = 3.7; 95% CI: 1.8–7.7; p < 0.001), albumin ≤ 3.4 g/dL (OR = 6.7; 95% CI: 3.3–14.3; p < 0.001), CD4+ counts ≤ 191.5 cells/mm3 (OR = 5.3; 95% CI: 2.6–10.8; p < 0.001), and the presence of HCV infection (OR = 2.4; 95% CI: 1.0–6.1; p = 0.050) were identified as individual risk factors associated with significant liver fibrosis (Table 3).
