CXR showed pulmonary congestion and cardiomegaly. CBC showed leukocytosis and normocytic anemia. Elevated ESR and CRP were seen. TEE revealed a thickened mitral valve, anterior leaflet flail, and regurgitation. Lung ultrasound showed diffuse bilateral B-lines. G. morbillorum isolated in blood cultures. Here, CRP is linked to anemia (phenotype).
