Cho (2019) illustrated that the application of TEL substantially decreases the phosphorylation status of eNOS and NO within the aortic endothelium. An in vitro study showed that TEL decreased the phosphorylation status of Akt in human osteosarcoma cells (Wang and Wang, 2018). On the contrary, an in vitro study by Sibiya et al. (2022) showed that Spirulina platensis downregulated both Akt and eNOS expressions in HepG2 cells. This evidence concerns the gene NOS3 and osteosarcoma.
