Conversely, higher genetically predicted levels of CSPG3 (OR [95% CI] = 0.53 [0.44, 0.64]; PFDR = 3.72 × 10–8), CILP2 (OR [95% CI] = 0.26 [0.15, 0.47]; PFDR = 4.28 × 10–3), and GCKR (OR [95% CI] = 0.43 [0.3, 0.62]; PFDR = 4.3 × 10–3) were associated with a lower risk of NAFLD. Here, CILP2 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
