H19, Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1), HOX Transcript Antisense RNA (HOTAIR), and Taurine-Upregulated Gene 1 (TUG1) are considered as poor-prognosis lncRNAs whose aberrant overexpression has proliferative and anti-apoptotic effects on AML cells and is correlated with higher BM blast counts, poor chemotherapy response, and shorter overall survival (OS) in AML patients [20, 24, 25]. The gene discussed is MALAT1; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
