We observed that highly variable genes with known involvement in breast cancer (such as WT1 [46], ESR1 [47], AR [48], and FOXM1 [49]) were generally influential across all values of \documentclass[12pt]{minimal}\usepackage{amsmath}\usepackage{wasysym}\usepackage{amsfonts}\usepackage{amssymb}\usepackage{amsbsy}\usepackage{mathrsfs}\usepackage{upgreek}\setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt}\begin{document}$$n_g$$\end{document}ng (Additional File 1: Figure S7). This evidence concerns the gene WT1 and breast carcinoma.
