In a previous paired analysis of 12 radical prostatectomy specimens from men who subsequently developed metastatic, castrate-resistant prostate cancer, truncal events included SPOP mutations, TMPRSS2:ETS gene rearrangements, and TP53 mutations, which were all demonstrated to varying degrees in both primary and LN samples in our cohort25. This evidence concerns the gene TMPRSS2 and prostate carcinoma.
