IL13 and Hepatic fibrosis: Corilagin (20, 40, 80 mg/kg/day for 28 days) significantly reduced hepatic fibrosis by decreasing the expression of pro-fibrotic factors (e.g., IL-13, IL-13 receptor α1, IL-4 receptor α), as well as by decreasing the expression of PPARγ, KLF4, SOCS1, and p-STAT6, and by inhibiting the polarization of M2 macrophage in Schistosoma hepatic tissues in mice (Du et al., 2016).
