Sensory stimulation with 40 Hz has not only been able to entrain gamma activity but increased the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in mice [28], cleared up amyloid and tau proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) rodent models [19,29–31], and improved mood, sleep, and daily functionality in patients with AD [31–33].
