The analysis of the real-time PCR data showed that the effect of miR-377 on prostate cancer cell lines resulted in a decrease in MYC expression in these cell lines when compared to control cells and an increase in PTEN expression in PC-3 and DU145 (2.54 ± 0.2058 and 1.65 ± 0.06 respectively), due to the inverse relationship between MYC and PTEN expression. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and prostate carcinoma.
