Through a functional enrichment analysis of the 34 gastric cancer driver genes carrying oncogenic variants, we found biological significance to crucial molecular mechanisms involved in the development of gastric cancer, including apoptotic, ERBB2-ERBB3, p53, Hippo, Wnt, sphingolipid, Rap1, FoxO, PI3K-Akt, CKAP4, IL-18, and gastrin signaling pathways (Lei et al., 2022). Here, TP53 is linked to gastric cancer.
