Although the publicly annotated linc-ADAIN, known as linc01230, has been shown to have modulated expression in endometrial cancer,44 renal cell carcinoma,45 and lung adenocarcinoma,46 our data suggest that in the context of non-cancer human pathophysiology, linc-ADAIN is preferentially expressed in adipose over other tissues and is restricted to adipocytes within human WAT. Here, LINC-ADAIN is linked to hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
