A clinical mouse model (with 4T1 Model of Breast Cancer) drug trial conducted by Mehralikhani et al. (2021) showed that aqueous decoction extract of F. vulgare seeds displayed tumour-reduction by increasing the ratio of the expression of E-cadherin (tumour suppressor genes) to Ki-67 and dysadherin (invasive cancer biomarkers) in the tumour tissues. Here, MKI67 is linked to breast cancer.
