Our findings have revealed that targeted lesions in each of these areas (SFO, OVLT, and MnPO) result in a significant attenuation or near abolition of AngII‐induced hypertension (Collister & Hendel, 2005; Hendel & Collister, 2005; Ployngam & Collister, 2007; Vieira et al., 2010). This evidence concerns the gene AGT and hypertensive disorder.
