In this study, the relationship between GGT5 and immune genes of GC was investigated, revealing a positive relation between GGT5 and immune-active genes and chemokine receptors, particularly CXCL12, CXCR4, and TGFB1. CXCL12 is a small protein that binds with CXCL4 on tumor cells, triggering the anti-apoptosis pathway via Bcl-2 upregulation signal pathways and the EMT pathway via the Rho-ROCK pathway [42]. This evidence concerns the gene GGT5 and gastric cancer.
