CAT and periodontitis: Themethylation profile at the CpG −47 site of CAT was studied in oralcells of adult subjects and an increase in methylation frequency was a trend for thegroup with periodontitis.23 Comparing the data of Ding et al.19 and Coêlho et al.,23 it is clear that the frequency of CAT methylation, evenconsidering different CpG sites, tended to increase in tumor and inflammatoryconditions.
