As expected, PC2CMTN, which strongly and positively correlated with expression of the 3 LXR target genes, was also inversely associated with incident prediabetes/T2D (HR, 1.28 per 1-SD decrease; 95% CI, 1.13–1.45; P = 8.67 × 10–5 in the full model), although the association was slightly weaker than that of ABCG1/MYLIP. This evidence concerns the gene MYLIP and prediabetes syndrome.
