Our data showed that, in addition to coexpressed ABCG1, ABCA1, and MYLIP, expression of NR1H2 (encoding LXRβ) itself was also inversely associated with incident prediabetes/T2D, suggesting, for the first time to our knowledge, that dysregulated LAAMP is a major risk factor for T2D. The gene discussed is NR1H2; the disease is prediabetes syndrome.
