IL-2RA has been shown to be associated with the development of autoimmune inflammatory diseases (41, 42), and immune disorders affecting the skeleton may be an important cause of osteonecrosis, with a strong association between abnormal immune responses and immune cell infiltration in osteonecrosis tissue, often resulting in necrotic bone tissue showing signs of uncontrolled inflammation (43, 44). This evidence concerns the gene IL2RA and immune system disorder.
