Many of the 14 genes represented by the 17 phosphopeptides identified here have been previously reported to play significant roles in breast cancer, including KIAA1522, DCK, FOXO3, and MYO9B among the 8 up-regulated genes [87–90] and ARID1A, EPRS, and ZC3HAV1 among the 7 down-regulated genes [91–93] in the high relapse-risk cases. This evidence concerns the gene NHSL3 and breast cancer.
