Other proteins which were found to be significantly differentially expressed in sCAA patients compared to control subjects (BAX, CC2D1A, CPA2, CTRB1, CXCL13, RHOC, ULBP2) have (to our knowledge) not previously been associated with CAA, AD or amyloidotic diseases in general, which warrants further research into their biomarker potential. This evidence concerns the gene CC2D1A and Alzheimer disease.
