GSK3B and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder: Disruption of the cerebellum has been found in several neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.38 GSK3b overexpression in cerebellar Bergmann glia cells has been associated with improved rotarod performance39 and hyperactivity has been seen in mice with cerebellar damage.40 Overall, our L50R mouse model has a significant age-dependent phenotype, that we hypothesize represents altered motor performance and hyperactivity caused by cerebellar dysfunction.
