Similarly, a study (Markmiller et al., 2018) used APEX‐tagged G3BP1, a stress granule, unveiled a vast array of proteins associated with stress granules in neuronal cells and discovered that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)‐related mutations in HNRNPA2B1 were associated with an increased propensity to form stress granules.
