FOXK2 and colorectal cancer: FOXK1 and FOXK2 have been linked to proliferation and metastasis in human colorectal cancer, which is associated with DVL nuclear localization and activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, the latter plays a pivotal role in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation, self-renewal, tissue homeostasis as well as embryonic development (58, 59).
