This interaction modulates the chromatin microenvironment by regulating H2AK119 ubiquitination and controlling the expression of FOXK2 target genes, including Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHL), suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 and 2 (SOCS1/2), thioredoxin interacting protein (TXNIP), and others (20). Here, TXNIP is linked to von Hippel-Lindau disease.
