We found that the risk for skin cancer was increased after a diagnosis of breast cancer for BRCA1 mutation carriers (HR = 1.77, 95% CI: 1.26–2.50, p = 0.001) but not for BRCA2 mutation carriers (HR = 1.13, 95% CI: 0.76–1.67, p = 0.56). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is skin neoplasm.
