It inhibits GLUT2 and GLUT7 in Xenopus oocytes and reduces the levels of GLUT1/3 in tumor tissues. Moreover, it ameliorates glucose and lipid metabolic abnormalities in H9c2 cells stimulated by AngII/hypoxia or with overexpression of HIF-1α, through downregulating GLUT-4 expression.
