Among the panel of examinedgenes, a cohort of five genes displayed uniform upregulation in bothsoft S-PIC and rigid L-PIC environments. These genes, namely, PECAM, CDKN1A, FGFR1, VEGFA, and IL8, collectively signify a reduced cellular proliferation rate andaugmented potential for neovascularization and, consequently, metastasis.First, the increased expression of CDKN1A providesinitial evidence for suppressed PCa cell proliferation, given itsdocumented inverse correlation with PCa growth both in vitro and in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
