In murine models featuring STZ-induced diabetes in ApoE(−/−) mice and rodent models of T2D, empagliflozin exerts inhibitory effects on the IL-17A-induced secretion of IL-1β and IL-18 via modulation of the NLRP3/caspase1 signaling pathway.
