GFAP and Alzheimer disease: The recent development of techniques allowing to measure biomarkers of AD pathology (Aβ42/Aβ40 [8] and p-tau [9–11]), neurodegeneration (NfL) [12], and astrogliosis (GFAP) [13] in plasma has changed the way the research community envisions the future of diagnosis and management of patients with suspected AD or other neurodegenerative disorders.
