Chlorogenic acid, at concentrations of 1 mM or 20 mg/kg, markedly reduced the release of IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-6 and the infiltration of F4/80+ macrophages, CD3+ T cells, and CD177+ neutrophils into the colon by blocking the activated NF-κB signaling pathway in DSS-induced colitis [41,42,43].
