Male albino Wistar rats with induced myocardial infarction treated with the methanolic extract of white mulberry leaves experienced significantly increased activities of antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), and glutathione–S–transferase (GSH) as well as a notable inhibition of the lipid peroxidative process [9,10]. This evidence concerns the gene CAT and myocardial infarction.
