Our results indicate that both CD11b+CD11c+ and CD11b–CD11c+ DC subsets from uninfected animals efficiently present MOG antigen to autoreactive T lymphocytes, but that LDV infection suppresses only the ability of the CD11b+CD11c+ subset, and not of the CD11b–CD11c+ subpopulation, to efficiently activate these autoreactive T cells. Here, ITGAX is linked to infection.
