IL1B and atopic eczema: Sleep disturbances in atopic dermatitis are not only due to sleep deprivation related to nighttime itching but also to dysregulation in the release of inflammatory mediators (IL-1b, IL-2, TNF-a, IFN-g, IL-6, IL-4, and IL-10) and neuroendocrine molecules such as cortisol and melatonin [36,37].
