In the current analyses, it was clear that the FABP4 levels demonstrated statistically significant positive associations with obesity markers including BMI (r = 0.496, p < 0.001), hip circumference (r = 0.463, p < 0.001), and waist circumference (WC) (r = 0.436, p < 0.001, Table 3). Here, FABP4 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
