Jiang et al. [57,58] analyzed the effects of A. sinensis on the PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathway that were related to the vascular endothelial system in hypertension through animal experiments, and they found that the volatile oil of A. sinensis had a good anti-hypertensive effect by regulating the expression levels of PI3K/Akt/eNOS proteins, which are closely related to protecting vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and hypertensive disorder.
