The results showed that the effect of A. sinensis on myocardial fibrosis after MI was related to the inhibition of macrophage infiltration and the down-regulation of TGF-β1 expression, blocking the occurrence of fibrosis, and effectively alleviating the excessive deposition of reactive collagen in the non-infarction area after MI. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and myocardial infarction.
