IL33 and atopic asthma: Analysis of the IL-33 rs992969 polymorphism revealed a significant association with susceptibility to atopic asthma using the co-dominant model: wild-type genotype versus homozygous genotype for risk allele, p = 0.027, RR = 0.49, 95%CI 0.48 ÷ 1.02, as well as using the dominant model: wild-type genotype versus heterozygous and homozygous genotype for risk allele, p = 0.035, RR = 0.54, 95%CI 0.53 ÷ 1.08.
