The STRONG-HF (Safety, Tolerability and Efficacy of Rapid Optimization, Helped by NT-proBNP Testing, of Heart Failure Therapies) trial enrolled hospitalized patients with acute HF, irrespective of left ventricular ejection fraction, and evaluated the effect of an intensive treatment strategy of rapid up-titration of guideline-directed HF medication on clinical outcomes as compared to the control treatment, resulting in lower adverse event rates in the experimental arm at 180 days [13]. Here, NPPB is linked to hydrops fetalis.
