The augmented accumulation of CD8 T cells, CD4 T-helper cells, regulatory T cells, and proinflammatory macrophages of the M1 subtype, along with the diminished accumulation of immunosuppressive macrophages of the M2 subtype, are indicative of a more favorable prognosis for colorectal cancer (CRC) [180,181].
