IL-15 + IL-18-pretreated cryopreserved NK cells achieved significantly improved tumor control, expansion in the peripheral blood, and survival compared to untreated cryopreserved NK cells, and in fact were equipotent as compared to non-cryopreserved untreated NK cells (Fig. 5b–d), indicating that the full potency of NK cells can be preserved by IL-15 + IL-18 treatment prior to cryopreservation.
