As shown in S4A Fig, 2-ketohexanoic acid had no effect on bacterial burden, increased CD11c+F4/80+ and CD11c+F4/80+TNFR1+ cells (S4C Fig) and increases levels of IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-22, IL-4, IL-5 and ENA-78 cytokines and chemokine at 1-week post infection compared with Mtb-infected control mice (S4D Fig). This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF1A and infection.
